Nevada Mustang Round-UP

The Nevada QSO Party "SILVER STATE SERIES"  kicks up the dust with the Mustang Round-Up.

The purpose of the Mustang Round-Up is to promote the fellowship between Amateur Radio Operators in Nevada and hams in other parts of North America and the world.

This event will be held May 10-11, 2014 17:00 UTC Saturday until 17:00 UTC Sunday (10:00 AM PDT Saturday to 10:00 AM PDT Sunday).

Entry Categories:    Single Operator QRP-Fixed (up to 5 watts)
                                        Single Operator Low Power-Fixed (up to 150 watts)
                                        Single Operator High Power-Fixed (up to 1500 watts)
                                        Multi Operator QRP-Fixed (up to 5 watts)
                                        Multi Operator Low Power-Fixed (up to 150 watts)
                                        Multi Operator High Power-Fixed (up to 1500 watts)
                                        Single Operator-Expedition/Rover (up to 1500 watts)
                                        Multi Operator-Expedition/Rover (up to 1500 watts)

Exchange:   Non-Nevada stations send RS(T) and state, province, or DXCC
                         Nevada stations send RS(T) and county abbreviation.  
                        
The seventeen Nevada counties are: Carson City, Churchill, Clark, Douglas, Elko, Esmeralda,
Eureka, Humboldt, Lander, Lincoln, Lyon, Mineral, Nye, Pershing, Storey, Washoe, White Pine

Scoring:                    Score 2 points per phone contact, 3 points per CW or Digital contact

Bands:                        HF bands 160-6m....excluding the WARC bands and 60 meters.
                                      CW and Digital QSO's must be made in the CW/Digital sub-bands.

Multipliers:             Non-Nevada stations multiply QSO points by the number of Nevada counties worked.
                                      Nevada stations multiply QSO points by the number or states, provinces,
                                                   and  DXCC entities worked.

Awards:                    Plaques will be awarded to the top Out of State and Nevada finishers in each category.
                                     Certificates will be awarded to the top finisher in each State, Province, and DXCC.

Logs:                          All logs must be received by June 15, 2014.  Logs may be submitted electronically
                                     in Cabrillo or any plain text formula to logs@nvqsoparty.info
                                     Paper logs must include a summary sheet and may be mailed to: 
                                     Nevada QSO Party, 2420 Palora Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89121-2157

                                     Logs should contain name, station callsign, address, e-mail address, entry category,
                                     county-state-providence-or DXCC location, names and call-signs of operators if a
                                     Multi Operator entry 

Miscellaneous:      A station may be worked once on each band using each mode, phone, digital,  
                                     and CW.


                                                 Nevada stations compete against Nevada stations.  Non-Nevada stations compete
                                                against other Non-Nevada stations.

                                     Mobile Rover stations may work a station again each time they enter a new county.
                                     County Expedition stations located on a county line may work a station once per mode
                                     for each of the counties that intersect their operating site.   4
